Easy Street Production is a coalition...

Recognizing the challenge and expense of locating and coordinating the companies and contractors necessary to bring a project to fruition, Nathaniel Johnston founded Easy Street Production. We are a community of experienced industry professionals who have agreed to pool our expertise, skills, and talents in whatever capacity is needed to transform your vision to reality.


Nathaniel Johnston

Nathaniel Johnston—Producer, Editor, Director

Trained at the Stella Adler Conservatory of Acting, Nathaniel departed from a background in acting after discovering a love of behind-the-scenes work in television and cinema. He was Assistant Editor for repackaging the televison show Ripley's Believe it or Not! for syndication and for the VH1 reality television show You Rock With.... Nathaniel has served as Editor for film projects as varied as Xenon Picture's Eminem a.k.a., WaterWoman Productions' Love Thy Neighbor, and Hnarakis Film's HD feature Left Out of the drama. He has been Producer and Director for a variety of music videos, television commercials, and internet shows.

Nathaniel's academic knowledge of acting techniques is buttressed by robust technical skills including Avid Systems (Adrenaline HD, Media Composer, Xpress), Avid Unity, Final Cut Pro HD, Motion, Compressor, DVD Studio Pro, and more.

James Asmodeo

James Asmodeo—Producer, Director

While attending the University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts, James was mentored by former American Society of Cinematographers’ president, Woody Omens. James later worked under Emmy Award-winning Producer Marykay Powell at Raystar Productions. His production experience includes work as Second Assistant Director, Second Assistant Camera, Gaffer, Best Boy Electric, and Art Department on feature films. He also produced Powervision, an MTV-style television show, airing music videos from major labels and conducting interviews. He has worked in development for film producer Ray Stark, and was Vice President of Development for independent producer, Zane Levitt.

James was Director of Cinematography for the film Box Canyon as well as an untitled Native American Indian project for Academy Award® Nominated director, William Gazecki. He most recently collaborated with Easy Street Production as co-producer and co-director on the music videos New Day and Just Us Three.

Caroline Gordon-Elliott

Caroline Gordon-Elliott—Writer, Director

A graduate of Vassar College, Caroline moved to Los Angeles in 2000 to launch her career as a writer, director & producer. Among others things, her credits include creating a theatre company to produce her own acclaimed show "Four Girls From Vassar" as well as "Two In A Room." Still an avid theatre goer, she currently writes, directs, and produces sketch comedy for YouTube's infamous comedy group The Monkey Box as one of its main contributing members. She has also collaborated as a writer on different feature film projects. In addition to writing and directing, Caroline teaches drama at Crossroads, a private school in Santa Monica, CA, and can be seen as a cast member in The Monkey Box's comedy sketches.

Michael Cliett

Michael Cliett—Computer Animation, Graphic Artist

In 2004, Michael graduated from The Digital Animation and Visual Effects School and moved to Los Angeles where he began work as a CG animator. His work at Origami Digital, Radical 3D, and Sony Imageworks included creating 3D modeling and compositing for clients such as The History Channel. He currently works with companies like Zodiac Studios on shows including "Serenity" and "CSI" as well as numerous national commercials. Michael received an Emmy® nomination for his contributions to "Jericho."

Joe Kocsis

Joe Kocsis—Director, Camera Operator

A former electrical engineer turned rock star, Joe Kocsis has been working in film and television since 1996 when he began making snowboarding, motocross and music videos. In 2007 Joe established NoOneUKnow Films, and in 2008 he released a freestyle motocross film 775 : No One and Everyone. Joe currently works on a variety of projects including music videos, dramatic film, and extreme sports projects. He is an accomplished director of photography and editor, and his wide range of experiences make him an invaluable team member.

Ross Guidici

Ross Guidici—Filmmaker

Ross started off his career editing film. That's right, he even has the scissors to prove it! After a solid career as an editor for reality television, he decided to follow his heart and begin making documentaries and short films. Since then he has made a variety of films dedicated to the culture of the City of Los Angeles, as well as helped other filmmakers bring their creative visions to fruition. Most recently, he co-produced "The Man In The Arena" a documentary about UFC fighter Spencer "The King" Fisher with associate Gary Steuber. An avid fan of mixed martial arts, Ross has also made promotional fighting videos for Randy Couture, Mac Danzig, Roxy Balboa, and Legends Gym.

Evan Barthelman

Evan Barthelman—Director of Photography

Evan grew up in Maine with cameras in his hands, making photographs and movies since he was a kid. His professional career began with five years at the PBS station in Tucson, AZ, where he shot and edited for their nightly newsmagazine. Ten years ago, he moved to Los Angeles where he made documentaries, TV shows, short films, commercials, and features. He's been operating a Steadicam since 2004 but continues to DP smaller projects and has specialized in handheld camera operating. His documentary work makes him faster when he has time to craft a narrative scene, and his narrative DP experience contributes to the visual language of his documentary work.

Kellis Landrum

Kellis Landrum—Creative Designer, Website Producer

Kellis Landrum is Owner and Creative Director of Soda Media Inc., an Art Center College of Design Alumni, a memeber of the Art Center Legacy Circle, and Art Center Instructor. He is also a member of the AIGA, and founding member of the Los Angeles AIGA Interactive Committee. He has designed, developed and directed award winning projects for a variety of clients including NBC, Scion Motors, Kia Motors, American Apparel, Guess Clothing, Symantec, and Aiwa. He has worked with agencies and studios including Ogilvy, David and Goliath, Wieden + Kennedy Tokyo, M&C Saatchi, The Groop and Amauta Tech.

Adam Chaitin

Adam Chaitin—Lighting Designer & Technician

Adam has been working in film, television and live stage performances for over nine years as a lighting technician and designer. He has worked with such companies as PRG Lighting, The Lighter SIde, Harpo Studios, Performance Lighting, & Stage Right creating ambiances and looks for everything from live rock shows to industry trade shows. A graduate of the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, Adam is a creative specialist whose technical knowledge and ability make him an asset to work with.

Mike Haroutunian

Mike Haroutunian—Grip & Production Assistant

After making the transition from a legal career to the entertainment industry, Mike has been working as a Production Assistant and Grip with Easy Street Production over the past year and has proven himself an asset time and again. Solid production knowledge, hard working, and the best "can do" attitude we've seen make Mike our #1 choice for basic production support.
